Gerald Glasauer

 

Mr. Glasauer is the founder of GUB Shareholdings, a Venture Capital Group from Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. He has been working in the banking and investment market for over 25 years. He founded the first German public venture capital fund in 1994, GUB Glasauer Unternehmensbeteiligungen KG. Between 2002 and 20014 Mr. Glasauer raised equity of more than 150 million Euros for twelve venture capital funds in Germany Austria and Switzerland.

Mr. Glasauer’s funds have made investments in more than 100 companies. Many of these companies have been recognized for their innovation. One of the technology founders he financed was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. As lead investor Gerald Glasauer consistently attracts world-class investment funds, banks, insurance companies and church-related institutions as co-investors. To date they have co-invested more than 650 million Euros in Glasauer-backed companies.

Some highlights of Mr. Glasauer’s investments include seven exchange listings in Frankfurt and the United Sates, one of which currently has a market capitalization of 6 billion Euros.

Gerald Glasauer also invests his time and personal money in two charitable foundations focused on providing aid to developing countries and helping children with chronic diseases and he is active in the charitable foundation Manager without Borders.
